Not all decisions are created equal.
The state you make them from determines the outcome.
Level 1: Survival
Decisions made from fear, guilt, shame, or obligation.
“I have to.”
“If I don’t, something bad will happen.”
Here the nervous system is in survival mode. The brain is focused on avoiding loss, not creating value.
Negative emotional input → compromised thinking → predictable, limited outcomes.
You might stay busy, but you won’t move forward meaningfully.
Level 2: Achievement
This is the go-getter, hyper-achiever mode. (Most entrepreneurs starting out operate here)
Driven by desire, pride, and proving worth.
There’s momentum here — but it’s still conditional.
“I’ll be okay when I succeed.”
“I need to win.”
It’s an improvement on survival, but it’s self-centred and fragile.
A mix of fear and ambition creates inconsistent results and eventual burnout.
Level 3: Alignment
Decisions made from peace, clarity, joy, and trust.
Here, action isn’t driven by lack — it’s driven by alignment.
Outcomes matter, but they don’t define you.
Progress itself is enjoyable.
This is win-win thinking.
This comes from BEING Ethical. Grounded and feeling calm
And paradoxically, this is where the best results naturally emerge — because you’re no longer trying to force them.
Most performance problems aren’t strategic.
They’re emotional.
And decisions only rise as high as the state they’re made from.
